The Northwest School (Washington)
The Northwest School is a mixed private school catering to Middle and Senior School students between 6 and 12 grades. Located in the city of Seattle, the school has gained reputation for academic excellence as students are taught a diverse curriculum. As of 2015, the school enrollment has grown to 700 students. Among these, more than 70 international students are from 12 countries. As the only school providing boarding facilities to international students in Washington, Northwest School encourages multi-national participation by offering comparable tuition and financial support to students for other countries and US states. The Main Summit Building is the iconic landmark registered in the National Historic Register. Every student in the high-school takes a three year intensive Humanities program, which elevates their chances of acceptance in prominent US institutions. To nurture ethical environment, each students takes time maintaining school facilities, every week. In addition, events for major national holidays including Martin Luther King Day are independently organized by the student body. Seasonal festivals like ArtFest are also the sole responsibility of students. Regarding, extra-curricular activities, the school’s Ultimate Frisbee team is one of the best in the nation. In addition, students are encouraged to build their own sports teams.
