Woodberry Forest School (Virginia)
Woodberry Forest School is one of the most popular all-male private schools in Virginia. The 1,200 acre campus is located in Madison boasting many structures dating back to the Civil War period. Currently, there are more than 400 students from 30 states and 18 countries enrolled.
There are 11 different academic departments, each with its own minimum standard of academic excellence. In 2011, 100% of the graduating senior class went on to 4-year colleges The school is also one of few private boarding schools in the United States, which actively recruits international students by marketing abroad.
Among the most interesting features of Woodberry Forest is the Prefect Board consisting of 18 senior students. The Board is elected by the student body and administration. It acts independently to maintain strict discipline at the campus ensuring that students breaching the school code are dismissed without intervention from school administration.
Woodberry Forest also excels in Athletics. In fact, it has the longest running school Football rivalry in the South with Episcopal High School, also located in Virginia. In addition, the campus features a 9-hole golf course designed by Donald Ross. Notable Alumni include several prominent businessmen, politicians and athletes.

Founded in 1878 by Samuel Miller, the Miller School of Ablemarle is a coeducational college preparatory school available to students in grades 8-12.
