West Nottingham Academy is a rather small school located in Colora, Maryland. It was founded in 1774 by Samuel Finley, a Presbyterian minister. This boarding school is one of the oldest still in operation in the country. The school serves students from grades 9-12 that live both on campus and off. The picturesque tree lined campus is close to the famous Chesapeake Bay. It is also within close proximity to Philadelphia and Baltimore. The recently added a figure skating program to their eclectic mix of offerings. The school operates under a Nonsectarian religion and offers its services to both boys and girls alike. The tuition is $48,000 for a Maryland based student and $55,000 for an out of state one.

They are known for their upstanding academics and for being an overall pillar in the grouping of boarding schools across the country.
