Fryeburg Academy (Maine)
Fryeburg Academy, located in Fryeburg, Maine at the foothills of the White Mountains, is a private boarding school and day school. The school accommodates grades 9 – 12, and a post-graduate year. The school prides itself on offering a sense of belonging to all who attend and backbone of support. The school, conveniently located within the White Mountain National Forest, close to the ocean, rivers, and lakes, so outdoor activities are limitless all year around.
The Fryeburg Academy academics are designed to prepare students for limitless possibilities. There are approximately 150 courses at varying levels to include AP, honors, college prep, and technical prep.
Fryeburg Academy has an Art program that educates students to appreciate fine arts, encourages students to discover individual talents, and promotes original expression and creativity. The school offers participation in art activities such as Performing Arts, Music, Theater, light and sound technology, visual art, photography, and film.
Fryeburg Academy has an athletic program as well. The school offers athletics during fall, winter, and spring. Fall sports include Cheerleading, Cross Country Running, Field Hockey, Football, Mountain Biking, Golf, and Soccer. Winter sport includes Alpine Skiing, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Nordic Skiing, Indoor Track, and Wrestling. Spring sports include Baseball, Cycling, Lacrosse, Softball, Tennis, Track and Field, and Ultimate Frisbee.
