The state of Indiana is home to two boarding schools: Culver Academies and La Lumiere Schools. Both are located in the northern area of the state with Culver Academies in Marshall County and La Lumiere in Laporte County.
Culver Academies is a nonsectarian school that is home to over eight hundred students from many areas of the world, in grades nine through twelve. Tuition at Culver starts at $44,500.
There are also added expenses of uniforms, books, and extracurricular activities. Culver offers financial aid to those who may need it and many scholarships are available for students meeting certain criteria.
The school recommends submitting an enrollment application by September the year before a student plans to attend, as enrollment fills up fairly quickly. Prospective students must take the Secondary Schools Admission Test, or the SSAT, before they can be officially accepted.
