The Rectory School (Connecticut)
Quite often children find themselves searching for things to do to keep them occupied during the summer months. Boredom is an adolescent’s nightmare and a parent’s worst enemy. Thankfully The Rectory School in Pomfret, Connecticut offers a perfect solution to solve the boredom issue. Summer@Rectory is a program offered exclusively by The Rectory School to children who are enrolled in the fifth to ninth grade level.
With numerous morning classes and engaging activities for children to participate in during afternoon hours, Summer@Rectory brings learning and fun to all its participants. Enrolled children are given opportunities to improve on English language proficiency, learn valuable life skills and have the option of creating individualized study plans to focus on topics that pique their imagination. For creative students there are various types of music and art classes available. More centralized study topics like mathematics, reading and writing skills and science are offered as well.
While quality academics play a vital role in the overall success of the program, the exciting outings Summer@Rectory provides to students is also important. Weekend zoo adventures or a trip to a Connecticut Tiger’s baseball game help students relax after a week of intense brain calisthenics.
