School Profile
Suffield Academy (Connecticut)
The Suffield Academy is located in Suffield, Connecticut where students are boarded every year for a vigorous education that cannot be matched anywhere in the United States of America. Students compete every year to get into the academy to further themselves, and each student is given a background in the classics that flies in the face of what public schools are doing. The private and close nature of the school allows students to make lifelong friends, to learn the best of what is out there and to get into the best colleges possible. Suffield Academy only has one function for students, and each student is to be bettered by attending the school. Teachers make sure that students are ready to go on to college, and the administration keeps the campus safe. Athletics and other programs keep kids stimulated, and a year of study at the academy is equivalent to several years of study in other locations. A child who wants to get into an Ivy League school and more must come to the Suffield Academy to get the best education possible for him or herself. Kids cannot learn unless they are in the right environment, and Suffield just such an environment.

Bethlehem, CT

Today, Mathew Campbell Woodhall, who heads the school, follows his parents' mission for the student population. For example, approximately 20 faculty members work with students in small groups. The academic life is not the only focus for faculty. The Woodhall School and its faculty members place a focus on sports, too. Students have access to a sports and activities program. The sports and activities program operates six days a week. The male student body has different activities from which to choose. As an example,…
