Pomfret School is a coeducational and a preparatory independent day and boarding school. It is found in Pomfret, which is in northeastern Connecticut. Most of the faculties do possess masters and doctorate degrees. Pomfret School was established in 1894 by William and Jones Peck.

The graduates of the school have gone ahead to excel in sports, arts, sciences, public service, and business. The school is approved by the headmasters’ association, Connecticut association of the independent schools, and the admission test board of the secondary schools. The learners are exposed to various subjects like the computer sciences where they learn about the web design, audio art, gaming animation, digital cinema, and flash. Other items that the students learn include the sciences, liberal arts, and foreign languages.

Pomfret School has won many championships in both men and women sports. The sporting activities that the students engage in include football, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, baseball, golf, softball, and tennis. The practicing artists lead Pomfret performance and fine arts program, and it provides classes that are formal. The program gives the students a chance to participate effectively in digital arts, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, music dance, and theater. The Pomfret chorus has been travelling to many countries for their concerts.
