The Ether Walker School is located in Simsbury, Connecticut. It’s among the first, independent all-girls’ college preparatory school. Founded in 1911 by Ethel Walker in New Jersey, it was later moved to its present location in Simsbury CT in 1917. It has received NEASC, TABS and CAIS accreditation. Currently, the school is headed by Stephen J. Dunn (interim) and has approximately 250 students in its grades 6-12. Ether Walker School provides the students with an excellent, caring environment and opportunities. This positive environment helps grow their intellectual and artistic talents that promote good leadership skills. The high confidence, conviction and courage makes the girls outstanding than other schools. It’s mainly attributed to the schools abundant resources. The school has competent teachers and staff and offer more than 140 courses. It provides 19 AP classes and 22 honors sections. The students also participate well in athletics and extra-curricular opportunities. It includes dance, arts, soccer, volleyball that the school has competed and won in numerous athletics leagues.
