Villanova Preparatory School (California)
Villanova Preparatory School is located about 63 miles northwest of Los Angeles in the city of Ojai. Founded in 1924, Villanova is a coed Catholic school that offers an education in the Augustinian tradition for grades 9-12. The day school tuition for the 2015-2016 school year is $19,000 and the tuition for the only Augustinian coed boarding school in the country is $53,300. Financial aid and scholarships are offered to help parents with the cost of tuition. Villanova Preparatory School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to students who qualify to be a part of the program. It is a rigorous two-year course of study that involves writing research papers up to 4,000 words, learning to think critically and analytically, community service involvement and collaborating on projects with other IB students. Upon completion, IB students who meet the minimum score of 30 points may earn up to 30 quarter units with the University of California. Students do not have to be a part of the IB program to receive a great education at Villanova Preparatory School. A solid faith-based education is available to all who attend.
