School Profile
The Webb Schools (California)
The Webb Schools is an “open” school in the California area, which means they are non-sectarian. Most schools have a “focus” on how they want to set themselves apart from others who also provide this service. The Webb’s is not only the academic portion but also a driven purpose towards the students developing an internal honor code. Meaning, they are training these youth to not only “do” things, but to do them “rightly”. They want to produce people that will lead with courage in hard times, and will do their actions with integrity in a culture that says “anything goes”. They even have “unbounded thinking + symposium days” set aside for students and staff to think and plan regarding the responsibilities of being a man or woman in today’s culture. Lastly, if you would like to learn “how to think” versus just memorizing and repeating back information, what a better place to do it than on a 70acre campus in the Claremont area that is right by the mountains.
