School Profile
Spring Ridge Academy (Arizona)
Spring Ridge Academy is an all girl boarding school which is licensed as a behavioral health care provider by the state of Arizona. The school is located in Spring Valley, Arizona and enrolls girls ages 13-17. Spring Ridge Academy was founded by Jeannie Courtney in 1996. The Academy started out as a house with a barn attached and only had one student. It has come a long way since 1996 and now houses 72 girls with a much more modern facility that includes class rooms, medical areas, labs, and athletic fields and courts. Spring Ridge Academy offers students so much more than a regular school. They focus on emotional, physical, academic, and community. They not only have a rigorous college prep curriculum, but also have an outstanding emotional growth program that also includes family involvement in therapy and workshops. The students have the opportunity to work on themselves as far as attitudes, how they see themselves now and how they can succeed and grow in the future. The Academy also gives the students the opportunity to excel in sports. Spring Ridge offers a variety of athletic teams to choose from whether they have already been involved in a certain sport, or if they would like to try something new.
