Individualized treatment is provided by caring professionals; building strong therapeutic relationships by people who truly care. A foundation is built upon the real-life principles of care, trust, and service toward others. It is truly unique, set apart from the traditional residential treatment centers for girls. For professional counsel, coaching, and guidance please in regard to this program and how it can help your troubled girl, please inquire online.
The academic program of Re-Creation Retreat is designed to assist troubled girls who are in need of grade repair and credit recovery. Typically, girls who struggle with emotional and behavioral issues also experience academic and educational deficiencies that compound an already difficult situation. Sometimes the “acting out behavior” of a troubled girl is directly related to ongoing and prolonged academic problems. Therefore, we integrate our therapeutic approach with an outstanding academic program to help young ladies restore their lives to wholeness, both emotionally and academically.
Real World Integration
We integrate a “community-based” real-world understanding into our therapy and use the community here as a safe and encouraging place for the girls to learn about themselves and their choices. We use the daily interactions of students and staff as the “training ground” for therapeutic intervention.
Students here get a hands-on real life view of the most important precepts and principles of life. We teach the girls that if they choose to live by good values, hold themselves and others accountable, and take responsibility for their choices, they will most likely prosper in all areas of life. Moreover, when they understand and take this in, they will positively contribute (give back) to their family, friends, and others. They will find fulfillment, purpose, and peace.
Growing Values – Growing in Life
Young women who are struggling need coaching and instruction regarding values and what is acceptable and what isn’t. Understanding and living by values does not come automatically, or easily to these girls. Values such as integrity, trustworthiness, compassion, service toward others, and truthfulness are critical to a healthy life. Without such strong values, it is almost impossible to “get healthy.” Add in the condition they come to us, the loos of many of these values may seem impossible to overcome, but we have seen it again and again that our methods and therapies do work.
Re-Creation Retreat provides an opportunity and continuous training platform to help residents to connect with each other and their family back home in an emotionally mature and consistent manner. Principles learned at Re-Creation Retreat lead to a new level of accountability and responsibility, which leads to self-value and self-worth.
This program allows girls to “retreat” from their old self and re-discover what is truly important in life. In this process, girls begin to re-create their lives, adopting values that can bring a life-long change.
