St. Bernard Preparatory School (Alabama)
St Bernard Preparatory School is a private coed school in Cullman, Alabama. Almost continually since 1891, students have received a Benedictine education focusing on body, mind and spirit on the 900-acre campus of St. Bernard Preparatory School that is conveniently located a short distance away from Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama. Students can choose to stay on the campus five or seven days a week or just use the facility as a day school. The school also offers a coed summer camp experiences including weeks at the U.S. Space Academy and training in English as a second language. Students at the school are enrolled in a vigorous college preparatory experience allowing them to be ready for admission into many top colleges. A large part of that curriculum includes instruction in the arts. Students can also compete in 11 different sports. The school’s motto is body, mind and spirit, and is embodied in every aspect of their training young people to become independent thinkers. In terms of religious orientation, St Bernard Preparatory School is a Roman Catholic school. In 2011, 92% of the graduating senior class went on to 4-year colleges.
